Piano Classes
Piano Classes
Why learn the piano in a group setting? A symphony of benefits awaits your child!
Social Interaction
Group lessons encourage teamwork, communication & peer support. Students learn from each other’s experiences, creating a collaborative learning environment.
Friendly Competition
A little competition motivates students to practice and excel. Group lessons inspire them to challenge themselves and reach excellence.
Student Engagement
Group lessons offer interactive activities like ensemble playing, music games, and discussions, boosting engagement and understanding of musical concepts.
It’s Fun!
Simply put, children love to learn with their peers! At Aria Music Studio, there is a sense of belonging and Mrs. Andrea provides a safe environment for students to laugh, learn and be themselves.
MUSIC SKILLS YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN ARE:
playing piano
performing in concerts
playing by memory
reading music
playing by ear (amazing aural skills)
understanding theory
playing with chords (keyboard harmony)
improvising and composing
Learning the piano has other terrific life skill benefits for children including the experience of "consistent effort over an extended period of time = results". This is often missing from children’s lives these days with the instant gratification derived from computer games & ipads.
At Aria Music Studio, we foster and provide many opportunities for children to gain confidence and mastery. Confidence is built one step at a time as their success is shared with others in the regular small class concerts every few weeks. Preparing for Royal Conservatory Exams at higher levels encourages students to gain mastery in their piano skills.
Beginner Piano Classes available for ages 4-14!

What is whole-body learning?
Whole body learning is an approach to teaching music that can be incorporated at any stage of learning for piano or instrumental students. It's based on the ideas, concepts and approaches of Orff, Dalcroze & Kodály as well as research into neuroscience and how the brain learns. These strategies for teaching music are not new. Bringing them together to develop pedagogically sound educational pathways for piano teaching is unique. Because whole-body learning connects the students through visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning; students find playing the piano more engaging and fun.
As a whole body studio member, Mrs. Andrea specializes in this way of teaching and is proud to have her studio embrace high quality music education for all students! Check out this great video on whole-body learning!
