Andrea Mesana is an experienced pianist & passionate piano teacher who teaches at her home studio in Surrey, B.C. She fell in love with the piano at age 5. World music, conducting, music history, composition, and whole-body learning, are just a few favorite subjects she has dedicated herself to throughout the years.

She has been teaching piano lessons for over 25 years and specializes in whole-body learning. Andrea has trained with the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) pedagogy program, earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Victoria, is a certified Music For Young Children teacher & is continuing with her studies in whole-body learning. Having been a former Montessori teacher, Andrea enjoys working with kids of all ages. Mrs. Mesana currently plays for community events and is the choir director of her local church.

Andrea has a passion for helping students discover their potential through music and it is her goal to deliver engaging quality piano instruction while instilling in her pupils a deep appreciation for music. Andrea believes in on-going professional development and regularly attends music workshops & monthly professional development sessions. Her dedication and commitment, has earned Andrea’s students top marks at the Royal Conservatory Piano.

Andrea considers the importance of music education because it contributes to a sense of self-worth, achievement, self-discipline, development of coordination & provides a life-time of enjoyment.
