Children’s Miracle Weekend – May 31st, 2015
We made history today as forty MYC (Music for Young Children) students gathered to celebrate MYC ‘s 35th birthday by giving back to the community through BC Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend. Live coverage from Global TV captured their smiling faces as they sang in front of Vancouver’s lower mainland.
For two weeks, 1700 MYC students from across BC, committed to practicing the piano to raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital. The target goal was to raise $10,000 and we ended up surpassing this goal with $67,638.10! The “Practice makes Cents” fundraiser was a dazzling display of generosity, support, hard-work and practice! Thank you to all the students that participated…you certainly made a difference in your community through your love & dedication to music by helping other kids.
